The Festival of Trees is an opportunity to decorate a Christmas tree for everyone to enjoy during the holiday season at the Deuel County courthouse. Any interested organization my host a tree. The trees must be at least 6 feet tall and must be set up and decorated in a theme. Please register your tree to reserve a spot with the Deuel County Extension office by Monday, November 16. Call 874-2681 or email deuel.county@sdstate.edu. Set up of trees is to occur Monday, November 30, 5 to 7 p.m. Trees should be artificial and not have lights. The Rees will be available for public viewing during the month of December during courthouse hours-8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Threes should be removed by January 4, 2021.
