The New Hope Walk for Cancer is a fund-raising event to assist local residents who are faced with expenses related to cancer treatment

The walk is held the 3^rd Friday in July each year at the Deuel County Courthouse beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Luminaries are sold to honor a cancer survivor or to commemorate the life of someone who died from cancer

$29,000.00 is the average dollars raised per year, which goes to residents in need and cancer research

Since 2006, Deuel County Charities has given $142,555.00 to local residents to help with extra expenses such as gas for treatment trips, meals while away from home, hotel rooms, babysitters, etc.

An average of 15 people per year are given financial assistance from Deuel County Charities

$114,040.00 has been given to research
